Empowering the Efficient and Flexible Operation of Urban Rail Shentong Metro&TST Operation Seminar Successfully Held

In the early morning of April 13, organized by Shanghai Transportation Trade Association, more than 50 leaders and experts from metro companies across China, gathered and observed the performance demonstration of TSTCBTC®2.0 in the operation scenarios of “multi-vehicle FAO reverse tracking, interval fault turn-back and detour, and FAO arbitrary point turn-back” at Changyi Road Station of Shanghai Metro Line 14. They also participated in the following operation seminar co-hosted by Shentong Metro and Thales SEC Transport (TST).



Zhu Hong, Deputy Director of the Rail Transit Professional Committee of Shanghai Transportation Trade Association, and Liu Jin, CEO of TST, delivered greeting speeches for the seminar. The customer representatives Shanghai Rail Transit Maintenance Support Co., Ltd. CRSC Branch, Shanghai Mtr No.4 Operation Co., Ltd., Nanjing Metro Operation Co., Ltd. CRSC Branch, and NanChang Railway Transit Group Co., Ltd. Operation Branch delivered wonderful speeches respectively, sharing the operation and management experience of metro in Shanghai, Nanjing, Nanchang and other cities and the excellent performance of TST’s CBTC signaling system of Shanghai Electric in the actual operation and application. In the exchange and sharing session after the seminar, the customer representatives from metro companies across China spoke enthusiastically and actively exchanged and shared their operation and maintenance experience in actual work.



Liu Huiming, CTO of TST, gave a speech entitled “Introduction to to the Evolution of TST Products”, in which he reviewed TST’s technological development path of “introduction, digestion, absorption and innovation”. From the early SelTrac™ products to the fully self-developed TSTCBTC®2.0 and TSTCBTC®3.0 series, TST has been dedicated to providing safe, reliable and efficient signaling systems for owners all over China. The multiple efficient and flexible operation scenarios observed on site have demonstrated the excellent performance of TSTCBTC®2.0 products in the practical engineering application of Shanghai Metro Line 14. The reverse FAM function of TSTCBTC®2.0 is the first of its kind for all the fully automated driverless line operational in China.



Additionally, Dr. Gao Xiang, Director of TST Technology Center, delivered a speech entitled “Introduction of TST New Products”, which introduced the new train control concept of TSTCBTC®3.0 system with “operation as the center and trains as the main control objects” from the current status of rail transit operation. The concept aims to satisfy “safer, more reliable, more efficient, more flexible, leaner and greener” operation needs through the introduction of new technologies, new system architecture, and new hardware platforms.



This operation seminar fully demonstrated TSTCBTC®2.0’s leading advantages in efficiency and flexibility in various operation scenarios. TST will, as always, provide highly reliable and available signaling systems for owners all over the world, and boost the high-quality development of urban rail transit.
