Connection and Upgrading of the Signaling System of Hefei Metro Line 4 Southern Extension Completed

On the early morning of January 10, the connection and upgrading of the signaling system of Hefei Metro Line 4 southern extension with the existing system of Hefei Metro Line 4 were successfully completed, marking the near-completion of the line’s signaling system commissioning.

To ensure the seamless connection and optimal operation of the Hefei Metro Line 4 southern extension with the existing line, Hefei Rail Transit and Thales SEC Transport undertook a 33-day commissioning process for the signaling system on high-speed trains after scientific planning and scheduling. During the commissioning period, the two sides conducted round-the-clock EMU commissioning operations, 24 train function tests in the connected area, 36 system connection commissioning procedures, 7 pre-upgrade and pre-cut-and-connection connection tests, and more than 30 instances of discussions and briefings on the upgrading construction program, successfully completing the connection and upgrading of the signaling system by overcoming difficulties such as tight commissioning time at night, high safety risks, and complicated commissioning contents.

Next, Hefei Rail Transit will organize and carry out 20 consecutive days of connection testing for Metro Line 4, and make statistics on the completion of 8 indicators including train operation map fulfillment rate, train punctuality rate, train service reliability, train withdrawal ratio, rolling stock failure rate, signaling system failure rate, power supply system failure rate, and platform door failure rate, aiming to meet specification requirements, make thorough preparations for safe passenger transportation, and ultimately ensure the high-quality and standard operation of the Hefei Metro Line 4 southern extension.
