On October 17, 2023, Zhong Jianhua, Vice Chairman of China Association of Metros and Executive Deputy Director of the Expert Academic Committee of China Association of Metros, Li Yuansheng, Deputy Secretary-General of China Association of Metros, Xing Zhiming, Guan Bo and Yu Bo, Deputy Directors of the Expert Academic Committee of China Association of Metros, Liu Peidong, Director of the Comprehensive Operation Department of the Expert Academic Committee, China Association of Metros, Gu Baonan, Professor of the College of Transportation of Tongji University, Lu Fang, Vice President of the Urban Rapid Rail Transit magazine and other experts inspected and gave instructions to the independent innovation work of Thales SEC Transport, the controlled subsidiary of Shanghai Electric Group Company Limited while attending the review meeting of “Special Research on the Popularization and Dissemination of Scientific and Technical Knowledge of Urban Rail Transit” in Shanghai, accompanied by Lu Xuezhong, Vice President of Shanghai Electric Automation Group Co., Ltd., etc. 

Liu Jin, CEO of Thales SEC Transport warmly welcomed the leaders of China Association of Metros on behalf of the company and highlighted the close cooperation between Thales SEC Transport and the association over the years, expressing gratitude for their continuous support and guidance. Liu Huiming, Chief Technology Officer of Thales SEC Transport, then presented a comprehensive update on the company’s independent innovation projects and the special scientific research projects undertaken from the association since its establishment.

Zhong Jianhua, Vice Chairman of China Association of Metros, along with other leaders and experts, attentively listened to the report. Mr. Zhong affirmed the progress made by Thales SEC Transport in independent development, scientific research and innovation, and exchanged views on the development of next-generation train control technology. He hoped that Thales SEC Transport would make more contribution to the high-quality development of China’s urban rail transit in the future by further participating in such initiatives as the association’s key special scientific research projects and technical standards compilation.

After the meeting, Mr. Zhong and other leaders and experts also visited the laboratories of Thales SEC Transport, inspecting its relevant innovative achievements and applications.
