Mr. Hang Yingwei, Deputy Secretary-General of Shanghai Municipal Government, Deputy Secretary of Pudong New District CPC Committee and Mayor of Pudong New District, yesterday visited THALES SEC TRANSPORT with his team.

The leaders presented first visited the showrooms and laboratories of THALES SEC TRANSPORT, and listened to the company introduction. As a high-tech enterprise specializing in urban rail signalling systems, THALES SEC TRANSPORT has provided protection services for more than 30 urban rail lines in 14 cities in China, with a length over 1,300 km.  Mr. Hang stressed that rail transit is closely related to the travel safety of everyone, so it is necessary to strengthen technical safety, data safety and other work to ensure the urban operation. After learning that the new-generation signalling system independently developed by the company has been successfully applied to Shanghai Metro Line 5, and the fully automatic operation system has been applied to Line 14, Mr. Hang hoped that THALES SEC TRANSPORT would further innovate independently in the future, increase investment in R&D, build up a competitive team of talents, and widely apply the best technologies to more scenarios to achieve technology iteration and upgrade.
