Thales SEC Transport was Invited to Attend the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Metro Industry Conference

To promote the green, safe and efficient development of China’s metro industry, 2021 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Metro Industry Conference was held in Shenzhen on September 23-24. Thales SEC Transport (TST) was invited to attend the conference, together with more than 800 experts and leaders from various urban rail transit companies, metro planning, design and operation units, new equipment, materials and technologies and supporting enterprises of rail transit, industry associations, etc. to discuss the new achievements, ideas and trends of rail transportation industry of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Gao Xiang, Director of TST Design Center, attended the sub-forum on Metro Equipment, Operation and Maintenance and delivered a keynote speech entitled “Looking at the Future from the Present, Exploring the Direction of Train Control Development”. He started from the current situation of CBTC train control technology, detailed the 5 key technologies of train control system, i.e. autonomous control, resource-centric, streamlined architecture, green energy saving and basic technology, pointing out the future development direction of train control technology: Streamlined architecture, easy implementation, friendship and efficiency, standard and easy to use, smart and green, resilience and reliability. Mr. Gao also focused on the signalling system TSTCBTC ®2.0+ independently innovated by TST, which is in line with the future development direction of train control technology. The system is “vehicle-based and resource-centric”, and can achieve more reliable and efficient operation with the support of 5G, train positioning, environmental awareness and other basic technologies.

Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area construction is a major national development strategy planned, deployed and promoted by Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China with the objective of building an international first-class bay area. TST will continue to practice the direction of independent innovation by autonomously develop innovative products with high availability and reliability, and contribute to development and construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
