On May 29, 2020, Thales SEC Transport System Co., Ltd. successfully won the signal system integration project for the first phase of Zhengzhou Metro Line 6.

The first phase of Zhengzhou Metro Line 6, starting from Jiayu Town Station and ending at Xiaoying Station, is about 39.2km long (2.8km above ground and 36.4km underground); there are 26 stations (1 above ground and 25 underground), including 9 transfer stations. This line will enhance the rail transit links between Zhongyuan and Erqi Districts and Zhengdong New District in Zhengzhou, and connect Donglinhu of Xingyang to the west to expand the rail transit service area.

Zhengzhou Metro Line 6 won this time will be equipped with TSTCBTC ®2.0 signal system independently developed and innovated by TST. The high availability and high reliability of the system have been fully verified in Shanghai Metro Line 5 (the first line in China operated, constructed and modified at the same time). The signal system is also used in Shanghai Metro Line 14, a Fully Automated Operation (FAO) pilot project for Shanghai expected to be open in 2021. The winning of Zhengzhou Metro Line 6 marks that the application of TSTCBTC ®2.0 signal system is going out of Shanghai and towards the whole country, which is also a significant recognition Zhengzhou Metro to the practice of independent development route that TST has adhered to for a long time.

Located in the hinterland of the Central Plains, Zhengzhou, as the capital of Henan Province and the core of the Central Henan urban agglomeration, has obvious regional advantages. Since the official approval of the National Development and Reform Commission in 2017 to support the construction of Zhengzhou as a national central city, its urban rail construction has entered the fast lane. The first phase of Zhengzhou Metro Line 6 won this time is one of the key projects of a new round of metro construction in the downtown of Zhengzhou. Beside, this line is also the first signal system integration project that TST has won in Zhengzhou. TST will work closely with Zhengzhou Metro to help build Zhengzhou metropolitan area with rail transit and accelerate Zhengzhou national central city construction.
